Helicopter Check Yields Major Marijuana Bust in Kentucky
Kentucky State Police Seize More Than 200 Pot Plants
Kentucky State police made a marijuana bust in Henry County Tuesday.
Kentucky investigators spotted the pot plants from the air Monday during a
random helicopter check, WLKY NewsChannel 32 reported.
Kentucky troopers said once you know what you're looking for the marijuana
plants are easy to spot because they're a lighter green color.
They expected to find about 50 plants, but found more than 200 and cut them
all down, according to WLKY.
Kentucky trooper Dennis Mabry said it's a good feeling to get rid of the plants.
"You're stopping it before it hits the street," he said.
The area where the marijuana was found actually had nails in the ground sticking
up to prevent any animals from eating the plants, WLKY reported.
Kentucky police said the plants were worth around $200,000.
