Fremont, Nebraska drug bust nets three arrests, seizure
Working during the weekend proved worthwhile for Nebraska law enforcement officials
who arrested three individuals on drug-conspiracy charges and seized more than
seven pounds of marijuana street-valued at $14,000.
Fremont, Nebraska Police Deputy Chief Steve Tellatin said Monday Nebraska officers
from the III Corps Drug Task Force, Fremont, Nebraska Police Department, Dodge
County, Nebraska Sheriff's office and Nebraska State Patrol used information
from a monthlong investigation to arrest Lindsey King, 20, and Alvin Turner,
25, both of Kansas City, Kan., and Phillip Brant, 22, of Edwardsville, Kan.,
at approximately 9:15 p.m. Saturday in north Fremont, Nebraska.
The suspects were arrested after delivering and accepting payment on seven
and one-quarter pounds of marijuana, Tellatin said. King and Brant were charged
with distribution of a controlled substance, conspiring to deliver a controlled
substance, possession of more than a pound of marijuana, and no drug tax stamp.
Turner was cited for conspiring to deliver a controlled substance, no operator's
license and fictitious plates.
All three currently are incarcerated.
