Tip leads to 4 drug arrests in New Jersey
An New Jersey astute citizen led New Jersey police to a drug bust Friday evening,
resulting in four arrests, according to reports.
The tips led New Jersey police to set up a surveillance on Fulton Avenue between
Garfield and Ocean avenues in Jersey City, New Jersey where they said they saw
Dashawn Wright, 27, of Bergen Avenue, sell cocaine to Billy Clark, 46, of Avenue
E in Bayonne.
New Jersey Police waited until Clark went into a nearby grocery store, where
they arrested him on a charge of possession of cocaine after finding three vials
on him, while other cops followed Wright to his next sale on Fulton Avenue,
according to reports.
There, New Jersey police said they saw him sell cocaine to Christopher Floyd,
23, of Rose Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey.
As New Jersey police approached Wright and Floyd, Wright fled on foot and scaled
a nearby fence, reports said. New Jersey Police arrested Floyd, who was charged
with possession of cocaine, and soon after noticed Wright get into the trunk
of a car driven by Rodale Jones, 23, of Culver Avenue. Police stopped Jones's
car and arrested both men, reports said.
New Jersey Police seized $270 from Wright, who has an outstanding municipal
Jersey City, New Jersey warrant, and charged him with two counts of distribution
of controlled dangerous substance and two counts of distribution near School
15, New Jersey police said.
Jones was charged with hindering apprehension and driving an unregistered,
uninsured vehicle as an unlicensed driver.
